Pictures from my very first OUTDOOR climbing trip! Yes! A group of over a dozen climbers from the Twin Cities Rock Climbing meetup drove from Minneapolis, MN to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in AR, which has phenomenal sport climbing and bouldering, as well as some trad. I led what I was comfortable leading (up to 5.9+), top-roped the rest (5.9s and 10s), and learned how to set/clean anchors! We all certainly enjoyed the sun and warm (60’s to low 70’s) weather, as well as the laid-back ranch setting with tons of horses, goats, dogs, sheep, etc. By the last day, I was NOT ready to leave, but look forward to a return trip in the fall :) Can’t wait till MN decides to actually have a Spring, that way I can climb outside till my fingers fall off!
